Center for Allied Health Programs

The University of Minnesota has redesigned our professional curriculum in occupational therapy. Using hybrid models, the curriculum will produce graduates who better meet the healthcare needs of our region. Applications are now available for students seeking enrollment in the fall 2008 class.

We are pleased to announce the creation of a new Center for Allied Health Programs, marking a historic commitment to allied health sciences at the University. The new Center is designed to prepare allied health professionals who meet the health needs of Minnesota and to prepare the next generation of allied health professions researchers and faculty members.  Occupational Therapy is one of the founding programs administered by the Center.  Dr. Barbara Brandt, Assistant Vice President for Education, is serving as the Center's interim director.

Interested students may receive periodic updates through our pre-OT listserv. Contact otprog@umn.edu and ask to be subscribed to the listserv.

Questions about the program may be asked by e-mail at otprog@umn.edu or by phone at (612) 626-5887.
